Cooking Class Using Seasonal Produce

Fresh produce is available every season of the year, even winter. Busy people sometimes think fresh fruits and vegetables are too expensive and preparing them takes too much time. Linda Rellergert, Nutrition and Health Education Specialist with University of Missouri Extension helps change that mindset through her Seasonal and Simple classes. Through demonstration and tasting she shows how easy it is to fix tasty, nutritious recipes using fresh fruits and vegetables in every season, even winter.

The next class in the series is on using winter fruits and vegetables and is scheduled for 6-7 p.m., January 25 at the St. Charles County University of Missouri Extension Office, 260 Brown Road in St. Peters. To register, call the University of Missouri Extension, 636-970-3000. Registration fee is $10 per person.
