Expectations of others and ourselves can lead to feeling stressed out, worn out and burned out. Stress can pile up and threaten to take all the joy out of life. Taking Care Of You: Body, Mind and Spirit offers practical, effective strategies to help deal with the challenges in life. Managing life's demands in a healthy way allows you to take better care of yourself and improve overall health. Many of the strategies taught take little or no extra time.Research has shown that people who participate in Taking Care Of You classes are better able to manage stress and maintain positive changes in their lives. One participant commented, " Overall, has allowed me to focus on healing all sorts of stuff in my life." And another wrote, "I'm sleeping better and able to let go of most things that are out of my control."
Taking Care Of You is an eight-week class that will help you take better care of all aspects of your health - body, mind and spirit, and deal with stressors in your life, including those in and out of your control. Classes will be held Monday evenings from 6 - 7 p.m. February 27 through April 16 at University of Missouri Extension, 160 Brown Road in St. Peters. Pre-registration is required by February 22.
